We TRAIN AND EMPOWER CHILDREN AND YOUTH TO BECOME ENVIRONMENTAL LEADERS AND CLIMATE DECISIONMAKERS!

Our goals:

Educate
We believe everyone has a talent, skill or ability they can use in favor of our planet.
Using a combination of science and impactful communication, we aim to educate children and youth from all over the world on intersectional environmentalism and communications, so they can become advocates for earth.
Uplift
We aim to assist underserved communities from Mexico, Latin America, South East Asia, Sub-Saharan Africa, and eventually from all over the world.
By amplifying their voices and making sure their unique perspectives are taken into account, we aim to assure climate justice for all.
Impact
From changing daily habits, to modifying entire legislations, we believe in the power of now. Our final goal is to tackle plastic pollution, climate change, and all environmental problems across the globe. We'll work thorougly to make sure that everyone lives a truly sustainable future, on all its contexts.

Some of our Programs & Collaborations

We are fostering the next generation of social and environmental positive leaders!
During the past four years we have collaborated with several international NGOs and companies to bring free and quality environmental education to several communities around the world.

COP28 with EarthEcho International (Dubai, UAE. 2023)

On December 2023, we had the distinct honor of attending the 28th Conference of the Parties, represented by our founder, Diego. This was a pivotal experience in our journey, marked by various significant moments. First, Diego had the privilege of contributing to various panel discussions, and engage in one-on-one dialogues with esteemed policymakers and delegates, such as Dr. Rick Spinrad from NOAA, as well as Dr. Mahlet Mesfin from the US State Department's Bureau of Oceans, and International Environmental and Scientific Affairs. Diego was able to share our mission with thousands of individuals from diverse backgrounds, ages and professionals, all fervently dedicated to address climate change.

"Sustainability 101" Workshop - Pearson Conference
(Toronto, Canada. 2023)

Also on November 2023, we took part on the Pearson Scholars Conference at the University of Toronto, hosting the workshop Sustainability 101: An Interdisciplinary Approach to Climate Action. Participants dived into some of the most pressing sustainability-related issues across different professional areas, such as capital investment, vaccine development, engineering, etc. Then, by teams, they worked together to come up with comprehensive solutions and participated in a pitch session!

Clean Run with the U of T Run Club (Toronto, Canada. 2023)

On November 2023, we partnered with U of T's Run Club to organize this innovative and fun activity that combines fitness, sustainability, friendship and environmental conservation to both run and clean some parks across Downtown Toronto! Leaving from Queen's Park, our first group ran 5K to Christie Pitts Park; while our second group ran 8K to Trinity Bellwoods! We collected around 15 full bags of trash!
*Our gratitude to the City of Toronto for donating us the bags and supplies.

Chao Phraya Youth Summit in collaboration with the Planeteer Alliance
(Bangkok, Thailand. 2023)

On August 28th, 2023, we had the pleasure of receiving around 30 students from Bangkok to learn how to initiate campaigns to tackle plastic pollution locally and globally. Participants learned about plastic pollution in general and the air pollution caused by plastic disposal and incineration; began awareness campaigns to shed a light on the threats facing the Chao Phraya River among Thai youth; and were inspired to take action by understanding the various solutions that can be implemented at different levels to combat the problem, from community cleanups to zero-waste business models and policy lobbying. Ultimately, we empowered youth to collaborate with one another to create their own team campaigns to tackle plastic pollution.
*Special thanks to UNIONSPACE Bangkok and Rescued Glass for their partnership.

alongside other environmental activists to develop an international policy framework that addresses this issue more effectively. The proposal was presented to Korean politicians and UN representatives, among them the 8th UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-Moon; the former Korean Ambassador to the UN, Kim Sook; and the Secretary General of the Trilateral Cooperation Secretariat, OU Boqian.

(The Netherlands)

Dit was de Plastictijd is a dutch-based book written by Geert-Jan Roebers, Margot Westermann and Michiel Spijkers, and made possible by the Plastic Soup Foundation. The half fiction, half real story takes readers to a future in which the plastic problem is an absurde thing of the past. An archaelogist from the year 2132 calls our age The Plastic Age and highlights efforts made by young activists to tackle this crisis. One of this activists is our founder, Diego Arreola Fernandez!
